Nationally 10% of people experiencing a Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) survive. In the Villages we are at 18% thanks to neighbors knowing how to recognize and respond to a SCA.. This CPR/AED class is open for Village Responders working in a "Neighbors Helping Neighbors" program. This is a private, 2.5 hour presentation and practice given by the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) of The Villages. Instructors are volunteers certified by ASHI, but you will not receive certification. You will be given a card showing you received training. The class is free although donations are much appreciated to help maintain and purchase equipment. The American Heart Association recommends training every two years.
